In recent times and during the pandemic when movement was greatly restricted and a lot offline activities such as shopping, offline business meetings , trades and so on couldn't be possible, we started exploring the social media and internet as a viable option to continue our business activities like buying online and having a delivery company bring your goods to your doorstep and also having of online business conferences and meeting. Using platforms like Facebook, Twitter, zoom apps, and many more.

The social media certainly became a good tool for promoting of small and large businesses as well as performing other trade related activities.

For a small business looking to gain some social media presence and expand their business to reach a more broader audience which social media platform would you recommend they carry out their marketing campaigns on?

Don't bother with social media. Get into networking groups and talk.
Okay... I'm currently into digital products and I was advised to run ads on social media to promote my products, but a more efficient method would also come in handy, which type of networking groups or talk do you think I could join my niche is affiliate marketing.

I think you will have to choose between Facebook and TikTok. Facebook has the most users (about 2.7 billion) and TikTok is one of the fastest-growing social media platforms.

Facebook has been the best social media network for promoting my products. The bigger challenge with Facebook is that you have to be careful to avoid getting banned over some minor issues like making use of inappropriate keywords. Once you obey their terms and conditions, you are okay to promote your business.

I think Facebook is probably the best platform for sharing and promoting your business as so many people are on it and you can reach a large audience of people on there as well. I have a few family friends that have businesses that they solely rely on Facebook for to market it.

In terms of services I think the best platform is probably Facebook as I think it gives more of a local reach and I think it is a lot more of a go-to site for people looking for someone to do a job/service for them.
In terms of products I think that providing you have a good niche, instagram can be good for promotion do to it being a lot more visual and hashtag related than Facebook.

For successful business promotion especially now where everything is online I think that a good business marketing strategy captures all social media channels in it. By using all different socials you ensure you are getting the maximum reach for your business, capturing more potential customers.

I need to get better about social media. Not big on posting on them at all.

That's quite true, but I wanted a platform with a more targeted audience, Twitter is good for promoting projects involving crypto currency, a new company or for advertising jobs and meeting with people related to your field, you can't really get more people to purchase a product as much as you can get when advertising on Facebook. So I'm still cut up between which social media has all the qualities in one so I can focus my marketing there instead of shooting blank shots on various platforms.

Unless you have hired a social media manager, it is not very possible to be active across multiple social platforms. For instance, it is not possible to use facebook, instagram, twitter, toktok at the same time, even if you use these platforms, it is not possible to actively engage with your audience.

I think that promoting your business on Facebook works best for local businesses that operate in my country. Facebook seems to be the easiest social media platform for the average person in my locality to access. That means a bulk of the local target market are available on Facebook.
