Mail from Exchange server not syncing locally to Outlook

I have setup an Exchange user on Outlook. The account is showing that there is over 80GB on the Exchange server but only around 13GB has made it down to Outlook. It is showing that the mailbox is up to date and I wondered if there is anything that can be done to pull all the mail data to Outlook?

You can set cached exchange mode to unlimited Outlook won't sync more than 49GB of data to a PST before spewing errors, so 80GB is still just outright too much.

Is that 49GB limit always the case?

It's the hard limit as editable from the registry.you could technically set a lower limit. but you cannot set a higher one.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/832925/how-to-configure-the-size-limit-for-both-pst-and-ost-files-in-outlook
