I have been often times a victim of such cyber-crimes. Why? Because people (men and women) fall in love with me online or they are demoted from a staff position and have resorted into these cyber-crimes. They are often butthurt and will troll and flame me on other communities, search which sites I'm currently on and etc. And to attract my attention, they will try anything to achieve it. I hate it, but I have grown a skin for it myself. How to deter them from committing these cyber-crimes against you personally? Block them on sites you and they are on, report them to staff, blacklist them on abusive IPs/emails sites. What about you? Ever been cyber-stalked and/or cyber-harassed yourself? How have you dealt with it according to you?

I have never been stalked or cyber harassed online no but I do know that it is possible and that it can happen. Personally, if it were to happen to me I would block the person in question or even report them to the local authorities as long as I had solid proof that the person was committing these crimes. Without the proof, it would be very difficult to get anything done at all and would just be an I said, they said problem instead. Unfortunately, many people either get things wrong and assume people are stalking or harassing them online or they just get it into their head that this is the case even though it is not, this is why proof is needed and necessary to avoid any upset for the person who will be on the receiving end of the law. Many times people have reported others for crimes they never committed and it has almost ruined their lives that is why it becomes so difficult for people to report these things without proof and many often, end up not being believed because of false reports.

I give zero chance to cyber bullying. One of the best ways to avoid being bullied online is to avoid responding. Just act like you don't care about what is going on and at the end of the day, those people will get tired.

The answer to this drama is to block people. Well, recently I've had messages to my Facebook Messenger threatening to take down my FB pages. However, it's just punks wanting to extort money. It's not real companies.

For normal people those messages are just spam, user is getting blocked and thats it. But I guess for people which have mental issues, its really hard to read those messages.
